Three days are not enough to get to know a place, but one should highlight this: scyscrapers and hefty dishes. The city center is really clean and neat. In every corner new scyscrapers are under construction. There are a lot of trees or little parks, which makes a stay more pleasant.
Nice places to live: probably Sachsenhausen or Bornheim because of the old buildings (in Bornheim) or the Boutique atmosphere (in Sachsenhausen).
When cruising downtown many things appear rather stately. Even the civil service has quite commanding premises. Here are some impressions I have taken with Nikon D60 and Sigma 30 mm F1,4 EX DC HSM. I also took panorama pics from the top roof of the Frankfurt Main Tower (http://www.maintower.de – It cost 5€/person to enjoy the pleasure of a 360° panorama view. Good one!)
A nice hotel to stay at: "The Pearl Hotel".
The interior design is convenient and without frills. Still, we did not lack of comfort. The hotel service was efficient and very kind. I really liked the bathroom, because of its functionality. The material they used was metal, ceramic and glas. Rather modern, but not cold at all.
If you should consider a stay, try it. The breakfast is good and at the weekend you got even time to arrive late until 12 am. The location is not far from the main railway station and still in a good and clean area near the river.
Potatoes, Frankfurt Grie Sos (Green Sauce), sausages, all other sorts of meat and cider.
Around the so-called RÖMERBERG you'll find plenty of restaurants with that culinary orientation. Hefty dishes in Frankfurt are a must-have!
